On March 23–25, Sossi Tatikyan, Director of YCFSP participated in the Warsaw Countering FIMI conference and wargame, focused on countering information manipulation and hybrid threats.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and the European External Action Service. I also took part as a speaker in a panel discussion moderated by Karol Wasilewski, Head of the Department for Turkey, Caucasus and Central Asia at the Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW), on the “EU–Armenia Strategic Agenda.” In my intervention, I emphasized that EU–Armenia relations should be understood within Armenia’s broader strategy of diversified partnerships and multi-alignment, rather than as a simple geopolitical pivot. I also highlighted key challenges, including economic and energy dependencies, Armenia–Azerbaijan peace agreement, regional instability, international fragmentation. I stressed the importance of pragmatism and careful management of expectations, the EU’s role in contributing to sustainable peace and security, and de-blocking of Armenia's communications, as well as its normative role in supporting democracy and human rights. I also underlined the need for concrete steps, including support to security institutions reform and facilitating economic and energy diversification to reduce dependencies.
